Today we had the opportunity to visit Terra Robotics in Löhne and see firsthand the latest developments in the field of robotics. We found the insights into autonomous cleaning robots and humanoid robotic systems particularly exciting. When the future suddenly becomes tangible
Many people still associate humanoid robots with visions of the future from movies or research projects. However, it quickly became clear on site that the development is much more advanced than one would initially assume.
Currently, companies are already working on integrating humanoid robots into logistics and industrial processes. Terra Robotics has established a partnership with UBTECH Robotics for this purpose and is actively involved in deploying this new generation of robots in Europe.
2. Proof of Concept
We were particularly interested in the question of what impact these technologies will have on medium-sized companies in the coming years.
While autonomous cleaning robots can already perform specific tasks today, humanoid robots are still at the beginning of their development. Nevertheless, current projects show that the possibilities for use are constantly expanding. In many areas, the focus is not on replacing humans, but on supporting and relieving employees of recurring tasks.
An exciting future topic for medium-sized businesses
As an IT service provider, we deal with digitization, cloud solutions, AI, and automation on a daily basis. Visiting Terra Robotics has once again shown us that robotics could become an increasingly important part of modern business processes in the coming years.
Whether in logistics, service, or building cleaning – technologies are evolving rapidly and becoming increasingly interesting for companies.

Fazit
Very exciting, but I must admit: I thought we were further along with humanoid robots. Currently, there is still a lot of training and adaptation involved in the systems. On the other hand, cleaning robots already seem much closer to everyday use. Nevertheless, it was clear to see that we are only at the beginning of a development that will fundamentally change the working world.
